Melted French Kisses is another Holiday Collection Set that Too Faced launched exclusively. Offering a liquified lipstick so it doesn’t lose its pigment or shine while keeping a comfortable, flexible and cushiony wear; who can resist an adorable, girlie, Paris themed box?
I know how it sounds, but these are my very first Too Faced Melted Liquid Lipstick Collection. Well, it’s never too late to try, right? Anyway, I just could not resist myself to get this set because I was so tempted to try the Too Faced famous melted lipstick. I have read lots of good review and comments about them. So, I thought it was a good chance to try!
The Product
It is a set of four clutch-sized tubes of Too Faced famous Melted Liquified Lipstick. The shades include two of their bestselling shades and two new Melted Metal shades.
The Formula
- Gorgeous intense pigmentation
- It has a cross formula between liquid and traditional creamy formula
- When applied it feels like liquid but feels as comfortable as creamy lipstick in a bullet form.
- Surprisingly easy to apply
- Has opaque finish with 2 – 3 swipes
- It does not accentuate dry skin
- The Metal shades has more sheer finish and last a shorter time on the lips
- The original shades last up to 6 hours, but if you eat oily Indonesian traditional food like rendang, it lasts shorter time.
- It transfers lightly when drinking or eating.
- If it concerns you, I am very delighted to tell you that these lipsticks are vegan!
The Shades
Metallic Peony
It is a soft nude pink with metallic golden finish. To me, it looked like a frosty peachy-pink. It turned out more sheer than I thought. With a soft makeup, it will make the perfect romantic look. Think I may try to make a Valentine look with this shade.
Chihuahua
As you have known it, Chihuahua is a dusty rose nude shade with brown undertones. This is a great option for those who love pinky-nude shade. However, it’s a bit too brown on me. But it still is a great shade to wear as daily shade.
Metallic Macaroon
It is a neon pink with blue undertone with metallic finish, of course. It has a more sheer finish than I thought, though it is not as sheer as Metallic Peony. Some says it is a Barbie Pink shade. Well, it’s not the shade I normally pull off. However, it turned out to be a great color on me. I am in love! Think it will be my new go-to-lipstick for sometimes. Do you know if the shade will be permanent? Hopefully so! *cross finger!
Berry
Again, as you have known it, it is a deep raspberry shade with cool purple undertones. To me, it simply is a bright berry red. Personally, this shade is too daring for me. So, I will use it just for night look. It is because I work at a very conservative environment that does not like nor allow a bold makeup look.
The Packaging
As mentioned above, the packaging is designed as a cute, girlie, Parisian themed box. We have an Eifel Tower at night on the left side, and four small windows that allow us to see what’s inside.
On the inside, we will find four deluxe sizes (5ml each – Travel sizes) of the Melted Lipstick. Each lipstick’s packaging reflect the shade, though I think the Melted Chihuahua’s not exactly accurate. As for the applicator, we got a velour, foot doe-like applicator, which I found quite precise to use it directly on the lips.
The Store & The Price
You can find it online:
- Sephora – $25
- Ulta – $25
- Too Faced – $25
- Odette Cosmetic – Rp 400,000
Recommendation
I love it! It lives up to all the reviews and comments that have been around on the net. If you are like me, never have any of the shades yet to try them, i.e. if the set is still out there; the individual lipstick costs more! So, grab it fast while the stock last!
Will I get the up-coming set this year? I will definitely get it again this year, if the shades suit my skin-tone.
That’s all my review for this gorgeous set! Hope you have a great reading time <3 See you on my next post!
xoxo
