The first time I tried brand SilkyGirl was when I shopped around at Watson Singapore. As usual, the sales girl asked me, what I was looking for and if I needed her help. Then, she show me the SilkyGirl newest lippy, the Matte Fever LipColor Balm. That’s how I fell in love with the SilkyGirl LipColor Balm, and bought one in the shade Vogue (01).
When I came back in Indonesia, I look for this LipColor Balm. Unfortunately, they only sale the Moisture Boost LipColor Balm. I have been waiting for six months now, but they still don’t have the Matte Fever LipColor Balm yet. Hence, I am gonna share my thought of the SilkyGirl Moisture Boost Lipcolor Balm only today.
The Quality
- It has a balm texture
- The formula is creamy
- It moisturizes lightly
- It does not dry the lips
- Lightweight
- Pigmented
- It transfers when you eat or drink; hence, it does not last long, only stains a little bit, especially with the darker shade – 02-Coral, 03- Ruby, 05-Poppy & 06-Wine last a little bit longer, because it has bolder pigmentation.
- It does not contain:
- Carmine
- Paraben
- Fragance
- No Animal Testing
Personally, I find it more like a lip color plus balm formula to make it more moisturizing than lipstick. If we compare it with Maybelline Candy Wow Lipcolor Balm, it is a tinted lip balm.
The Shades
There are six shades available to choose from:
01 Latte
02 Coral
03 Ruby
04 Rose
05 Poppy
06 Wine
My favorite shade is no 04 Rose & 06 Wine.
The Packaging
The lippy is packaged as a pencil. The body of the tube of the pencil colored black. The Lip Balm Pencils are also color coded. So, each tube is colored according to the color of the product inside.
The tube itself, it is made of solid plastic, styled as a chubby-stick tube. The size is just about right that you can have a good grip when using it – not too big not too small. What I like most about this pencil is that you don’t need to sharpen the pencil. Just like Maybelline’s & Emina’s lip balm pencil, just twist up the pencil to reveal the slim round bullet.
The Price & Stores
You can get it everywhere:
- Giant
- Carrefour
- Watson
- Guardian
- And anywhere you see brand SilkyGirl
