There has been hype about liquid lipstick since the day ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip lippies released. Hence, many brands both national and international are releasing theirs. I know there are many reviews already posted on these lippy, but why not adding one more?
ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip
ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip is liquid lipstick. As the name said it, it is matte. Perhaps, it is the driest liquid lipstick I’ve used.
Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip Quality
- It has a watery formula that glides on smoothly
- Very easy to apply
- 100% matte
- Feels weightless or not heavy on the lips
- Does not contain any hydrating formula
- Build-able or can be layered, but once it’s dry, you can’t top it up, as it gonna crack
- Has intense pigmentation
- Not scented
Even though it is dry formulated, but it does not make you lips feeling parched or stiff. However, it went flaked after some hours. As for the longevity, I wore this for half day, and found it framing my lips.
How to remove?
If you are not familiar with makeup, you may find it tricky to remove or to clean this ColourPop Ultra Matte lip lipstick. The best way to remove it is by using oil based remover, or simply use olive oil to remove it. Why olive oil? Because olive oil is very beneficial for our skin; it is rich in vitamins, minerals and natural fatty acids, as well as other powerful ingredients of anti-aging; rich in antioxidants, and also nourishes, rejuvenates and protects the skin.
ColourPop Ultra Matte Shades
Initially there were only 33 shades, but now, there are 42 shades in total. The shades are divided into 7 categories:
- Darks (9)
- Nudes (16)
- Pinks (16)
- Reds (7)
- Violets (9)
- Blues/Greens (3)
- Oranges/Corals (6)
Here I have one shade from Pinks – 1st Base & Nudes – Midi:
The lipstick is packed in a slim boxes in white sturdy paper envelop color. The lipstick itself is packaged in a transparent, and high-end looking plastic tube with “ColourPop ULTRA MATTE LIP” printed in holographic silver on the body of the tube. It has a silver cap. Inside the cap is the applicator. At the bottom of the bottle, you will find the name of the shade.
The Price & Stores
In Indonesia, it is very easy to find this product. Almost every online shop sell them:
- Colourpop.com – USD$6
- Beauty Haul Indo – Rp 145,000
- TWL Cosmetic – Rp 145,000
- Mooishe – Rp 155,000
- Lazada – Rp 165,000
If I have to recommend one shop, I would recommend TWL Cosmetic, because it has more colors to choose from than Beauty Haul Indo. (Fyi, this is not a sponsored review, nor I am compensate in any ways to refer the shops above).
